Used Vespa Deals

This first bike is actually still new, as in never registered or titled. A 2006 Dragon red GTS 250, it was set aside as a demo, though it still has very few miles on it. It may still have demo miles added until it sells, but currently has less than 330 miles on it. Will come with full warranty from date of purchase. Asking $4300 + tax, title, freight, prep, doc fee. (Price includes current Vespa promo on GTS's)

SOLD! A 2001 Vespa Dragon red ET2 with under 525 miles on it for $1640. Has a few minor dings and scratches, but a strong solid 2-stroke motor and crisp sharp brakes. Best ET2 I've ridden. SOLD!

2007 Excalibur Grey GTS with 287 miles on it. Includes fly screen, very clean scooter. Asking $4100.

2005 Piaggio X9 500cc, the Italian Maxi-Scooter. Includes OEM topcase. Some slight dings and scrapes. Less than 2500 miles, asking $3400.

2009 Triumph Bonneville T100 Demo

It is time for us to say goodbye to our green and white Bonneville T100 demo bike. It's got 565 miles on the odometer, and the first service has already been performed. It's a new bike with full warranty, it just has had the engine broken in for you. Sort of like getting a puppy that is already house-broken.

Seriously though, at $1000 off of list, someone is going to get a great deal on this handsome bike.

Great Review of Gerbing's New Micro Wire Heated gear

There was a great review of Gerbing's new heated gear featuring the new Micro Wire technology in the Oct/Nov issue of RoadRunner magazine, which is now available on-line.

Here is a brief taste:

Before the scooter's wheels had even touched the snow outside the carport, the flow of heat was noticeable, and by the end of the driveway, I had to stop and notch back the dial a bit. The new system heats up as soon as the power hits, and despite the constant rush of frigid freeway air, my core temperature remained warm, almost to the point of sweating. An hour-long, slush-dodging ride wound up being a perfectly comfortable affair. And perhaps most amazingly, the Microwire™-equipped liner isn't much heavier than a thin windbreaker.

You can order the new Micro-Wire heated gear from Branchville Motors online,  and we also have some Gerbing's heated gear available at our eBay store.

Shoei Helmet Sale

I mentioned a few days ago that we have begun to see Shoei RF-1100 helmets come into stock.
This means of course, that we have a few Shoei RF-1000s on the shelf that need to go. We are letting these go for 20% of list price, and you can either purchase them at our eBay store, or come into the shop to insure you get a proper fit.

Shoei has also updated the X-11 to a X-12. We have a handful of X-11s left, and are offering the same 20% off deal on our remaining inventory of Shoei X-11s.

Large Victory Vegas Banner on eBay

Digging through the vaults, we just turned up this great Victory Vegas promotional banner from 2002 or 2003. This thing is HUGE, measuring 33" x 94".

Could be just the thing for that Victory rider on your holiday shopping list.

New Shoei RF-1100 Helmets

We have received our first shipment of Shoei RF 1100 Helmets.

Shoei has this to say about the update to the RF 1000:

Building on the strongest pedigree in the motorcycle helmet business, SHOEI is proud to introduce the all-new RF-1100. Since it’s 2003 inception, the RF-1000 has enjoyed great success, but that didn’t stop SHOEI’s world-class development team from throwing out the molds to build a brand-new helmet from scratch. Combining customer and dealer requests with advanced technology, modern testing practices, and 50 years of helmet-building experience, SHOEI is pleased to deliver the finest sport-touring helmet that money can buy. The all-new, groundbreaking RF-1100—where aggressive styling meets SHOEI’s unrivaled attention to detail, and the evolution of perfection is once again met.

Super Street Bike has a review up, if you are interested:

I’ve been wearing the RF-1100 for almost a week now and can say I have yet to find a quieter, more comfortable helmet for my head. Variable ventilation is possible thanks to different combinations of the six possible vents. With all the vents closed, road noise is virtually eliminated. The vents are easily located and operated while wearing gloves. While some vents only blow air on the face, the RF-1100’s front vent channels air to the forehead. This is key for those who wear contacts to keep them from drying out while riding. With all the vents open, a strong cooling effect can be felt, especially on hot days.

Branchville Motors on Ebay

Things being what they are these days, we are frequently asked what we have that is on sale.
Well most of our sale merchandise can actually be viewed at our Ebay store.

There are some great deals to be had there on riding gear, collectibles, and accessories for older bikes and scooters. Check it out!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome, to the new Branchville Motors and Vespa Ridgefield Blog.

I thought as an introduction to us, I would post some pictures of this sweet custom Triumph Thruxton which we built over last winter. The base was a 2009 EFI Thruxton, and it has about every upgrade you can think of, and a few you probably wouldn't have thought possible.

Yeah, that Arrow Exhaust and Ohlin's Suspension look awesome, and perform even better. But what is going on with the front end?
Well if you look closely, and are really familiar with modern Brit bikes, you might realize that the front end on this beastie is actually transplanted from a Triumph Tiger. That's right, inverted forks and upgraded brakes.

You might have guessed that this kind of customization wasn't cheap, and you'd be correct, and well you'd also be wrong... The original owner has moved on to other projects, and is having us sell off this work of art. The bike has around 1300 miles on it, and is going for $13,000. If you are interested, come by and talk to us.
Heck, you can stop by just to drool a little bit, if you care too.
